Recent ook weer eens een nieuwe game gestart met de nieuwe patch. Wou weer eens een rustig kolonisatie game met Castille doen, met eventueel een klein beetje uitbreideiden rond de mediterraanse landen.

 

Dat ging volledig mis natuurlijk. Iberian Wedding ging voorspoedig (Aragon + Naples) na 20 jaar geloof ik. Zoals in al mijn kolonisatie games mocht Portugal niet bestaan als independent state, dus die in 2 oorlogen ge vassalised. (-25% Liberty Desire door Historical Friend :love:). Toen zag ik echter dat er na 20 jaar nog een volledig Byzantium bestond, inclusief Constantinople en Athene geintegreerd. Kon het dus niet laten die te no CBen. Bosnie joinde de oorlog en dus ook daar 1 provincie gepakt om de Balkans in te gaan (Tot zover rustige game).

 

En toen, enkele jaartjes later, in 1486 kreeg ik ineens een PU over Frankrijk in mijn schoot geworpen :D Geen succession war, geen claim throne, gewoon vanuit een RM. Ze hadden sowieso het jaar ervoor nog een heir (ik check dat regelmatig), dus ze zijn binnen ongeveer een jaar hun heir en koning (al was die flink oud) kwijt geraakt :D Flink Powerhouse nu al dus.

Die PU's stellen weinig voor. Het is mij ooit gelukt met Austria om Bohemia, Hungary, Bosnia, Castile, Aragon en Naples als PU te hebben rond 1480. Met daarbij een grote kans dat Burgundy (+Holland / Flanders / Brabant) daar snel aan toegevoegd kon worden, omdat daar ook een Hapsburg op de troon zit. Dus als ze even geen heir hebben, kon ik zo de throne claimen en via war de union pushen.

 

Die game was trouwens alweer even geleden. Volgens mij nooit afgemaakt. Geen idee of ik de game nog heb. Zo nu en dan ruim ik dergelijke games die ik toch nooit af ga maken op.

Beetje geluk is er bij nodig, maar ik eindig idd elke Christelijke game wel met meerdere PUs. Vaak forceer ik ze echter zelf met Claim Throne. Dat was me in dit geval ook zeker niet gelukt, want Frankrijk is op 't land veel te sterk om te pakken als Castille. Bohemia is sowieso tof, die kun je eigenlijk altijd wel PUen binnen 5 jaar als je land iets voorstelt.

Austria aka PU game is wel leuk om zo nu en dan te spelen. In 1.18 ook de HRE achievement gehaald met Spain, Brandenburg, Bohemia, Hungary, Sweden under PU. Alleen zo lelijk dat je PU's vassals worden na revoke the privilegia.

 

Huidige 1.19 game eindelijk eens weten te overleven met Byzantium. Gelukje dat in deze patch Hongarije altijd allies wordt met Albanië, waardoor je meer tijd hebt voordat je zelf wordt aangevallen. Kon na een lange tijd gelukkig Austria krijgen als ally, daarmee Ottomans geDOWd. Moeilijke oorlog, paar provincies gesieged, krijg ik ineens Enforce Peace melding van Frankrijk. Dus maar vrede gesloten en twee cores teruggenomen. Ottomans daarna in oorlog met Mamluks, perfect moment om ze te blocken via mn ships, maar helaas een regency council. Negen jaar gewacht, maar had Ottomans twee fijne allies: Bohemia en Frankrijk. Daarna een epische oorlog met Venice, die al in oorlog waren met Hongarije en Bosnia. Kon de troepen van Venice opsluiten op Corfu en blokkeren met scheepjes. Paar eilandjes gesieged en daar kwam Frankrijk weer met een Enforce Peace. Nu genegeerd, waardoor aan onze kant ook Serbia mee kon doen. Ondertussen had Bosnia in zijn oorlog de eilandvassals van Venice gereleased, waardoor de troepen van Venice weer vrije doorgang hadden. Austria tekende daarna een truce deal met Venice, waardoor het Frankrijk & Venice vs Serbia en mij was. Frankrijk was na een paar maandjes klaar met de oorlog en ze wouden gelukkig een white peace tekenen. Daarna verliet ook Serbia de oorlog, ze gaven een provincie aan Venice. Dus toen was het een één tegen één gevecht, waarbij de troepen van Venice geblokt stonden op hun balkan provincies. Kon vervolgens alles van ze siegen op de balkanprovincies na. 99% warscore, twee provincies gepakt en wat geld.

 

Helaas dat Austria in haar peace deal de alliantie met mij moest verbreken. Hopen dat Ottomans mij niet aanvalt, voordat ik weer alliantie kan pakken met Austria, anders wordt het lastig.

Had een leuke game met Florence. Tuscany gevormd. Milan, Genoa en de andere minors van Noord Italië veroverd. Napels onafhankelijk gemaakt door middel van support rebels. Eilanden tussen Italië en Spanje afgepakt. Tunesië veroverd. Alleen zit het nu gewoon helemaal vast. Mn ally France is ally met Venetië en Savoy en wilt ookniet de oorlog tegen Papal State(Austria, Hungary allies) niet joinen. Aragon is ally met Netherlands(heeft France al een keer kapotgesiegd) en Austria. Dusja werkelijk geen idee wat ik moet doen. Kan Afrika gaan veroveren, maar niet echt zin daarin. Bosnia is ally met Poland en Austria. En dit is tevens de grootste Austria die ik heb gezien.

 

Russia nogsteeds ally met Ottomans, Sweden die nog niet onafhankelijk is. Dusja vrij interessante game. Je zou denken, ally Ottomans, maar nee die zijn weer ally met Morocco die mijn rival is dus hebben ze geen zin in

 

Moet eigenlijk Venetië aanvallen, wat mij geldmatig en doelmatig(Italy vormen) heel wat kan helpen. Sowieso het gevoel dat France altijd shit is als ik ze ally.

 

 

Ohja wordt uiteraard om de minuut verbannen door de Paus ;x

Waarschijnlijk de beste EU IV speler die er is (onder andere Three Mountains op Very Hard). Gekke strategie met de Ottomans ook om -93%!!!!!! core creation cost te krijgen en vervolgens voor een WC te gaan op VH, zeker een kijkje waard :D

Zo uit mijn hoofd: Ottoman idea, Admin, Tribal Depotism government (kijk daarvoor de eerste twee vids hoe hij dat doet), HRE emperor en 3e reform en Coptic idd. Je kan nog meer dacht ik als je Mayan culture hebt

EDIT: Oh shit :D Ottomans worden helemaal ingemaakt door Austria + Genoa + Mantua + Papal State. Misschien gaat Byzantium deze game wel overleven, dat zou echt ziek zijn.

Let overigens niet op army size, moet nog opbouwen ;c Geluk ook, Moldavia en Lithuania independent, France en England zwak. Poland greep wel even de Hongaarse goudmijn onder mijn neus weg helaas. Heb nu wel een coalitie met 5 of 6 landen tegen, meeste van die lui zitten inmiddels weer onder de 30 AE dus zodra die coalitie disband kunnen we weer knallen, denk volgende stop Brittany om meteen de sprong naar London te maken

Je weet dat relation > 50 zo goed als zeker betekent dat ze de coalitie verlaten. Als ze onder 30 AE zitten, is dat vaak wel een haalbaar doel, tenzij rivals. Op die manier kun je de coalitie sneller disbanden. Waarschijnlijk als een paar landen eruit stappen, de rest ook verdwijnt.
I know, moet even kijken als ik weer speel wie er close zijn, Austria en Savoy zo uit mijn hoofd met 15 en 30 AE ofzo lol, Austria naar +50 relations krijgen zal wel niet gaan lukken ben ik bang :P

1594 nu en een Osmanoglu op de troon in France en een heir met een weak claim :D :D :D Wel grappig, France en ik hadden allebei een oude ruler (mijne was 68 ofzo) en geen heir, bij mij zou zijn dynasty komen en andersom, uiteindelijk elke nieuwe heir ge-disinherit om maar dezelfde dynasty te krijgen maar dat was dus niet meer nodig aangezien hun ruler eerder dood ging ghehe. Tijd dus om binnenkort die alliance te disbanden en claim throne te doen en een oorlog voor een PU te starten :D

Gaat lekker met Kildare. Twee kolonies in Canada en USA opgezet, Brittany, France en Netherlands als allies, en met zijn vieren nu net Engeland ingemaakt. Resultaat: Ulster (nu mijn vassal), Wales en Northumberland vrij, alle Ierse gebieden die ik verder nog miste veroverd, Schotland geen ally van Engeland meer. Zodra mijn manpower en war exhaustion terug op een normaal niveau zijn gaan we Schotland even pakken, en dan heb ik Engeland voor het oprapen.

 

Zodra ik Ulster heb geannexeerd kan ik Ierland vormen, en dan gaan we verder kijken naar hoe we Luck of the Irish gaan binnenhalen.

 

Ondertussen kijken of ik voor The Five Colonies en On Every Continent kan gaan, want op koloniaal vlak gaat het heel lekker. Heb wel wat extra geld nodig omdat het opnieuw opbouwen van mijn vloot en leger een hoop heeft gekost, maar we komen er wel.

Ierland is tof ja. Mijn allereerste game ooit nog met Ierland gespeeld, alleen was dat helaas niet op Ironman. Ziet er goed uit ook. Wel protestant geworden als ware Ieren?

 

Ja, die kut-center of Reformation spawnde in Tyrone, direct aan mijn grens. Was niet te houden om Katholiek te blijven.

 

 

Overigens is Byzantium in 1570 kapotgegaan, maar dat was omdat Venice besloot dat zij de Griekse delen wilden hebben. Toen pakten de Ottomans alsnog Konstantiniyye. Jammer, want ze hielden het echt lang vol.

Zo, na 2 kansen gemist te hebben om de throne van France te claimen is het in 1691 eindelijk raak :D

Wat een oorlog was dit zeg :r Poland en Lithuania vochten aan de zijde van France, die twee eerst maar gesieged en met een white peace de oorlog uit gekregen, France had in die paar jaar vrij spel om shit te siegen:

Bohemia werd mij in de schoot geworpen overigens, was mijn ally en had ik een RM mee, de ruler van ze ging de pijp uit op zijn 30e :r

 

Nu even Tuscany opeten, Wien van Austria afpakken, de twee laatste provincies van Lithuania aan de kust de Zwarte Zee pakken en de Netherlands even no CB-en voor Zeeland. Kan nu niet meer mis gaan voor Mare Nostrum met 130 jaar te gaan :P

1672. Had misschien wat eerder gekund, maar toch zeer tevreden. Ook At Every Continent, Blockader en Down Under binnengehaald. Wil nog wel even verder, want denk dat ik ook Trade Hegemon kan binnenhalen, heb nu een basis op Sumatra waarvanuit Melaka in ieder geval goed te doen is, dan kunnen we daarna verder kijken naar Aden en Hormuz.
