Jazz Stars Unite For Disaster Victims In Japan “Jazz for Japan†Los Angeles, CA - "Jazz for Japan" is a "We are the World" type gathering of 25 of the top jazz musicians in the world to benefit the earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan. The recordings will take place March 23rd and 24th in Los Angeles at Capitol Studios in Hollywood and Resonate Studios in Burbank. This project features an album along with a DVD release including interviews with the artists manifesting their support for the Japanese people. Performers include: Rickey Minor, Alex Acuna, Nathan East, Clarence McDonald, Ndugu Chancler, Billy Childs, Boney James, Lee Ritenour, Terrence Blanchard, Kenny G, Steve Gadd, George Duke, Bob James and many others. These musicians have come together to pay tribute to those who have lost their lives and to a community that continues to support Jazz music. Their gift called “Jazz for Japan†will aid in the relief efforts needed for thousands of people affected by this disaster. Geplaatst 23 maart 201114 jr. Auteur Als je even leest is het geen benefietconcert maar een album voor de slachtoffers in Japan. Waarom dit op MU moet? Omdat dit het serieuze gedeelte is en er hier verdomd veel mensen posten. Een kleine like of facebook is al genoeg om het te steunen!

Geplaatst 23 maart 201114 jr. Ik snap het niet helemaal, vind het een beetje onduidelijk. ;) Hoe steun je met een like op facebook de mensen in Japan? Helemaal waar wat Pieter zegt btw. Japan geeft iets van 60 miljard uit om de economie weer op gang te brengen en dan moet een Jazz gebeuren mensen redden/helpen? Alle beetjes helpen meestal ja, maar dit lijkt me een beetje overbodig.
Geplaatst 23 maart 201114 jr. Auteur Jij deed toch iets met Dret&Krulle? Mijn 'like' heb je :). Dat is een ander project. Jazz is in Japan gigantisch groot, het is echt hun nr.1 muziek en vandaar dit album. Deze artiesten treden allemaal op in Japan, elk jaar weer en willen graag laten zien dat ze om het land geven. Het is buiten een geld bedrag dat we hopen te krijgen met dit project ook een steuntje in de rug voor veel mensen die dierbaren verloren hebben.
