Fish heeft eigenlijk ook 3 noteringen. Hij staat eenmaal solo in de lijst en twee keer met Marillion, beide nummers stammen namelijk uit het Fish-tijdperk van de band. - Hoogste nieuwe binnenkomer in de lijst is Iron Maiden's 'Alexander The Great', nog nipt voor 'Funeral' van Devin Townsend. Beide nummers haalden de top 10. - 'Country Feedback' voert sinds 2011 de lijst aan, toen het die plaats overnam van 'Cortez The Killer'. Alle voormalige nummers één staan in de lijst (Hotel California, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, The Sky Moves Sideways). - Dit is mijn tiende editie van de eindjaarlijst. Als alle edities bij elkaar zouden worden opgeteld, zou The Sky Moves Sideways van Porcupine Tree bovenaan eindigen. Hotel California en Country Feedback zouden de top 3 vervolledigen.

Uiteraard mag dat. Johnny Cash's uitvoering van Hurt stond nota bene hoog genoteerd in de lijst vorig jaar. Dat is zeker niet het origineel. Om maar een voorbeeld te noemen. En wat te denken van Hallelujah, dat altijd in de uitvoering van Jeff Buckley in de lijst komt. Ik heb zelf ook covers in de lijst staan.

Voor mij stak het album 'El Pintor' van Interpol er dit jaar toch wel bovenuit. Die groep heeft me weer helemaal terug in de greep, nadat ik ze al enige tijd had losgelaten. Spoon, The New Pornographers, The War On Drugs, Damien Rice en Swans zouden daar achter kunnen komen.
